Manisha Koirala reminisced about the past and pondered on the evolution of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali over time.
During an interview with Zoom, the 53-year-old actress praised Sanjay Leela Bhansali's simplicity and stands up for his occasional "mood swings."
The Mann actress said about SLB, “A lot has changed around him and for him, but at the same time, he remains the same. He is the same creative person who yearns to excel in his field. He is still that simple soul. No matter how opulent and grand the sets he makes, he still goes back to his simple 2-3 bedroom home in Versova where he lives."
Highlighting the level of simplicity the Bajirao Mastani director has, Manisha further shared, "He still wears those khadi kurta-pajamas. He lives like that even though he creates the most grand sets, exquisite jewellery, and costumes."
"I admire that quality of his. He loves and thrives in cinema. He is still the same person I met during Khamoshi," she added.
Moreover, Manisha defended Sanjay's rumored short temper, emphasizing that it's human to experience emotions like anger and frustration.
She asserted that as long as his mood swings don't harm anyone, they shouldn't be a cause for concern, especially considering his dedication to cinema.
On the professional front, Manisha Koirala collaborated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his directed web-series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, streaming on Netflix.
