Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aditi Rao Hydari are set to represent India at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
With Aishwarya being a Cannes regular and Aditi making her festival debut in 2022, the festival is scheduled to take place from May 14 to May 25, 2024.
According to the Hindustan Times, Both the Bollywood diva are looking forward to returning at the festival.
As per the outlet, the Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar actress said in a statement that she is so excited for this.
Aditi said, “I am thrilled to embark on this journey to the esteemed Festival de Cannes as the spokesperson for the brand."
"I strongly advocate that women should confidently embrace their unique selves and I truly resonate with the theme of this year "Many ways to be an icon," she added.
The 37-year-old actress continued, “It's about embracing one's unique journey and inherent worth. It is an honour to be aligned with a brand that has consistently championed the cause of women's empowerment, fostering confidence and growth in every facet of their lives."
Both actresses will participate in the festival as ambassadors of a brand, expected to emphasize the expanding impact of Indian cinema globally.
This year's theme, ‘Many Ways To Be An Icon,’ focuses on confidence and self-empowerment.
