Bollywood actress, Sonakshi Sinha, who is currently basking the success of web-series, Heeramandi, openly admitted to eagerly desiring marriage.
During her appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, the 36-year-old actress discussed the record number of retakes she had to do for Heeramandi.
When the show host, Kapil Sharma inquired, the Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara actress revealed that she never went above 12 retakes.
Kapil also asks from Sonakshi about her plans for marriage, considering Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani have already taken the leap.
On which the Dabangg actress exclaimed, you're teasing me on a sensitive topic and expressed her long-standing desire to get married.
Earlier, during an interview with Hindustan Times, Sonakshi offered insights into her character as Fareedan in Heeramandi.
She said, "Fareedan is poles apart from me. She is full of vengeance and hatred and anger and all the negative feelings. The beauty about Sanjay sir and the way he portrays his women is that he makes them so relatable he justifies their feelings."
Alongside Sonakshi, the series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, features a talented ensemble cast including, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Fardeen Khan and others.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, was released on Netflix on May 1, 2024.
