Karan Johar calls out comedian for mimicking him in 'exceptionally poor taste'
Karan Johar took to his Instagram to express frustration at comedian's disrespectful imitation
Karan Johar expressed that he feels sadness rather than anger regarding the "exceptionally poor taste" displayed by individuals within the industry who imitate him.
Taking to his Instagram stories, the 51-year-old filmmaker criticized the disrespectful imitation of himself by individuals within the industry on TV comedy shows, describing the situation as saddening.
The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani directed posted a cryptic message and described an incident where he was watching television with his mom and came across a promo for a reality comedy show on what was supposed to be a reputable channel.
Karan penned, “A comic was mimicking me in exceptionally poor taste... I expect this from trolls and faceless and nameless people."
"But when your own industry can disrespect someone who has been in the business for over 25 years it speaks volumes about the times we live in... this doesn't even anger me it just makes me sad!," the Student of the Year filmmaker further wrote.
According to Pinkvilla, Karan's reference could be comedian Kettan Singh, presently impersonating KJo on the show Madness Machayenge India Ko Hasayenge.
