Ali Wong makes fun of herself after failed makeup try

Ali Wong is making light of her most recent cosmetics choice.

The 42-year-old Beef actress posted a video on Instagram on Thursday, May 2, explaining a recent beauty faux pas.

Wong claimed that her glam wasn't quite what she had anticipated in the selfie video, which was shot backstage before the first night of her Los Angeles residency at The Wiltern.

“I do my own makeup to save time and money,” she explained in the clip. “I forgot my eyebrow pencil, so I had to make do with this kinda reddish-brown eyeliner that I applied to my eyebrows.”

Wong leaned in closer to the camera to highlight her brows, which contrasted with her black hair, as she spoke.

The comedian said, "I think it looks kinda crazy," finding humour in the circumstance. I have an evil X-Men appearance.

Her comment area was flooded with encouraging but lighthearted remarks.

“GURL!! I’m on my way…child!!,” Daniel Martin, the global director of artistry for Tatcha, wrote. Another added, “THIS IS ART THE PEOPLE WILL CELEBRATE IT.”
