WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that assists you in planning and organising events in group messages, The Verge reported.

This new feature called "Events," allows members to set up important dates, such as scheduled meetings, birthdays, parties and other events through e-vites.

E-vites are invitations sent by email.

In addition, in WhatsApp groups these events get pinned to the information page so that everyone can see and be reminded of.

This feature first be available in WhatsApp "communities" and then will be introduced to all groups.

As per The Verge, the messaging app has also introduced "replies to announcement groups," this features enables users to provide feedback’s and comments to major new updates, which will be visible to everyone else.

Additionally, it also mutes the conversation and minimises replies so that users can read the debate and contribute without bothering other users with constant notifications.

Meta owned WhatsApp has also announced that it will continue rolling out new features to make its users life easier and organised.

WhatsApp's Communities is a Slack or Discord-like feature that has its own message threads, group admins, and announcement functions, while also taking advantage of WhatsApp’s 32-person video calling capabilities.
