Aamir Khan addressed feeling emotionally wounded by the underperformance of his most recent film, Laal Singh Chaddha, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan.
During his appearance on the recent of The Great Indian Kapil Show, the 59-year-old Bollywood superstar took responsibility for the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha.
The PK actor also discussed his heartache over the audience's tepid reaction to the film.
Aamir shared, “I was heartbroken because we put in a lot of effort into making the film and each of us put our heart and soul into it.”
“There was something amiss and that is why the audience didn’t like the film.”
Continuing the conversation about his role, the actor admitted to struggling to maintain his performance throughout the entire film.
He said, “I took my performance to a high pitch and couldn’t hold it together throughout the film. It was my shortcoming as a performer, and I won’t repeat it in the next film.”
“Throughout my career, I have learnt more from mistakes than success.”
On the work front, Aamir Khan will next be seen in the film Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna, releasing on 25 December, 2024.
