In conversation with Mid-Day, the critically acclaimed Bollywood actress revealed that she is adopting a fresh approach for her role in the upcoming horror-comedy movie.
She said, "It is a different time and a different me. The role may be the same, but it has changed (in its own way). My approach is fresh."
Vidya expressed heartfelt gratitude for receiving immense love 17 years back for her incredible performance in the first part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
Speaking of doing the sequel, The Dirty Picture actress said, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa gave me so much. So, I felt, ‘Should I do another one in the franchise?’ The worry that the sequel won’t match up to the original always plays on an actor’s mind."
She added, "But I have grown up. This is a completely different film, and there is so much to enjoy in it. I wanted to work with Anees bhai. I love the script, and because I was a part of the original, this is a whole different high."
It is pertinent to mention that producers Anees Bazmee and Bhushan Kumar are all set to release the third instalment of the film during Diwali 2024.
The forthcoming movie features Vidya, Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit.
