Ellie Bamber, ‘Willow’ star gets cast in Legendary’s ‘Animal Friends’

Ellie Bamber is in Legendary’s Animal Friends.

Animal Friends is a movie with a star-studded cast along with a combination of live-action and animated characters. The story is written by writing duo Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider. Peter Atencio is set to direct the project.

Bamber joins a cast that already includes Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza, Daniel Levy, Addison Rae and Lil Rel Howery. The storyline is still being kept under wraps, but the movie has been categorised as a R-rated road-trip adventure.

Bamber most recently starred in Lucasfilm’s eight-episode series Willow for Disney+.

She is also all set to shoot the feature Moss & Freud with Derek Jacobi, with the lead role of Kate Moss.

Her TV credits list has BBC-Netflix thriller The Serpent alongside Billy Howle and Tahar Rahim, and the BBC’s The Trial of Christine Keeler and Les Misérables, the latter alongside Dominic West and Olivia Colman on it.

Bamber’s casting comes soon after Lil Rel Howery, who received critical acclaim because of his performance in Jordan Peele’s Get Out, joined the cast of the R-rated CG/live-action hybrid feature.
