Parineeti Chopra expressed feeling guilty for heeding incorrect advice and hopes to avoid judgment.
During a conversation with India Today, the 35-year-old actress discussed her past films and acknowledged making mistakes in her career.
Parineeti shared receiving advice from numerous individuals, and she trusted them due to her perceived lack of experience in the film industry.
She revealed that some of that advice didn't yield favorable results for her career.
The Ishaqzaade actress shared, “I think I heard a lot of wrong advice and I think I did a lot of films which were perceived to be the correct thing to do, to be commercial, to be bankable, to be a sellable actor but were not necessarily the right fit for me."
"In fact, I am guilty of listening to that noise and succumbing to that. I didn’t actually hold my own. If I had stuck to my own and if I had listened to my gut instinct, I would have probably made lesser mistakes,” she added.
Parineeti further elaborated that many people surrounding her were advising her to adhere to trends in both film choices and fashion, influencing her decisions.
Parineeti Chopra's latest film, Amar Singh Chamkila, co-starring Diljit Dosanjh, was released on April 12, 2024.
