Ali Abbas Zafar revealed that Salman Khan behaves like a "child" whenever he announces pack up.
During an interview with Mashable, the 42-year-old Indian film director discussed his working experience with Bollywood star Salman Khan.
Ali mentioned that the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor is like "an industry in himself" and emphasized that asking for permissions, especially from someone as senior as Salman, doesn't diminish one's stature.
He shared, “I don’t think you become small if you ask for permissions, especially if it is Salman, he is so senior to us. So I called him, Akshay sir called him and asked him if he was planning to bring any film this Eid because if he was planning, we will not put that release day out."
"He said, ‘it is not my date, if you feel, you go ahead, you don’t need to ask me’. That’s Salman, he doesn’t feel that it’s his date. But I wanted to ask him. When the trailer came out (he wrote about it), I feel he is the most secure person.”
Ali also revealed that despite a few "tussles" over the years, their relationship with Salman has remained unblemished.
He shared, “Today whatever I am, I am because of Salman Khan. The way he has contributed to my career is phenomenal to the fact that I personally feel that he and I have great understanding. But it also doesn’t mean that we are all ‘happy-happy’, we have had tussles also."
"However, the relationship I have with him is 100% full of heart. He knows if I have flown in emotion, At the time it was correct. I also feel he is a lovely person.”
The duo have collaborated in films like Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat.
