Solar Eclipse: Popular conspiracy theories related to celestial event
As Total Solar Eclipse approaches close, people are asserting many conspiracy theories
Solar eclipses happen about every 18 months, but they are usually seen in far-off places, which is why this one is so significant and has a lot of conspiracy theories associated with it.
Some people think that Biden will use the eclipse to introduce a new global order, while conspiracy theorists are using it to predict a biblical event. Let's examine these allegations in greater detail as follows:
To begin with, a lot of people have made up the untrue assertion that the Solar Eclipse's route goes across each of the seven American cities that bear the name Nineveh, an Iraqi city that the Bible refers to as "evil".
Additionally, the Solar Eclipse is being used to help a billionaire-led New World Order and establish a state of emergency, according to the other major conspiracy theory surrounding it.
Right-wing celebrity and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones posted the idea, which asserted that the government is trying to spread fear and is taking advantage of the solar eclipse by diverting attention. The theory cites the declaration of states of emergency in several counties in Texas and Oklahoma.
Although counties have issued warnings ahead of the eclipse, which doesn't seem odd or imply any state of emergency, rather, it seems to be a precautionary measure to keep people safe.
For instance, Travis County in Texas issued a state of emergency because of the possibility of "telephone service disruptions" and "extreme traffic congestion" due to people viewing the eclipse.
