Nota Fatehi reveals living with nine girls in a room during her initial struggling days

Nora Fatehi reminisced about her early days in India and revealed how she shared a room with nine other girls, describing it as a "traumatic" experience.

During her appearance in the recent episode of The Bombay Journey with Mashable India, the 32-year-old actress discussed her early struggles in Mumbai as a budding actor.

The dancer said, "I came to India with only INR 5,000 in my pocket. I lived with nine psychopaths in a three-BHK apartment, where everyone was sharing. I used to think, ‘What have I got myself into?’ I was not prepared for that at all. I am still traumatised.”

When questioned about how she managed to pay the rent, Nora explained, “What used to happen was that the agency would make money out of you. They cut the pocket money, they pay the rent from that, they cut their commission, the air you breathe, and then they give you whatever is left which is nothing."

"So we were on a diet of like one egg, nutella and bread and milk every day. It was really bad," she added.

Nora further shared, "Some of these agencies they exploit people so badly. We don't have laws and regulations for these things. I am serious I need therapy for that time. It was a rough time.”

On the work front, Nora was last appeared, alongside Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary in Kunal Kemmu's directional debut film, Madgaon Express.

The film was released on March 22, 2024.
