Tabu reflects on her decades-long relationship with Anil Kapoor and family

Tabu recently revealed that her connection with Anil Kapoor and his family spans three decades and expressed admiration for Rhea Kapoor's role as a strong-headed producer.

During an interview with Connect FM Canada, the 52-year-old actress, who was last appeared in the film, Crew, discussed collaborating with nearly every member of Anil Kapoor's family.

The Khufiya actress shared, “Working in Crew is nothing else than a milestone for me. It is part of a three-decade-long journey which began with Boney Kapoor."

Talking about her relationship with Anil Kapoor and his family, Tabu remarked, “My association with the Kapoor family (Anil and Boney Kapoor) is 35 years long when Rhea was just one year old.”

While discussing her signing opposite Sanjay Kapoor for the romantic film Prem, which was released in 1995, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actress told, “At the beginning of my career, I did Prem which was opposite Sanjay. It was produced by Boney Kapoor."

"Later worked with Anil in Priyadarshan’s Virasat, an adaptation of the Tamil film Thevar Magan. I shared the screen space with Arjun Kapoor in Kuttey. So it has been a long journey," she added.

Tabu further talked about her working experience with Rhea Kapoor, saying, "It is nice to see Rhea as strong-headed producer.”

Tabu is presently enjoying the success of the film, Crew, where she stars alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. 

The film was released on March 29, 2024.
