Karisma Kapoor sets the record straight on her name's pronunciation

Kapoor has finally disclosed the pronunciation of her name, making it clear to the world in a recent revelation.

During the conversation with the Murder Mubarak cast, when the host inquired about how she preferred her name to be pronounced, the 49-year-old actress replied, "It's Karizzma," in response, her co-star Vijay Varma added, "With a 'rizz'."

Pankaj Tripathi then said, “Even I got to know it today,” to this surprised Sara Ali Khan exclaimed, “But you have never corrected anybody ever.” 

Responding to Sara, Karisma said, “Because it’s been so many years. You can call me whatever you want.”

Karisma Kapoor made an appearance in the film Murder Mubarak, directed by Homi Adajania. 

The cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, and more, released on March 15, 2024.

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, the Dil To Pagal Hai actress discussed her involvement in a mystery-thriller film. 

She even disclosed the reasons behind her decision to accept the OTT movie.

Karisma said, “I don't think I played such a whacky eccentric person ever and I think Homi knows that space and genre and at the same time he is very organic so I think that for me was very interesting and of course this stellar."

"Talented cast and after Hum Saath Saath Hain, I think this has been my big ensemble film.”
