The Railway Men, a hit 4-part Netflix mini-series became the most successful Indian project to date, as reported by Yash Raj Films.
For the unversed, the show is based on a horrific real-life Bhopal Gas incident, starring R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu Sharma, and Babil Khan in lead roles.
As reported by Pinkvilla, the series garnered praise from international and national audiences and stayed in the top three on Global Top Shows for months since its release in November 2023.
Netflix India VP Content Monika Shergill confirmed that that series "trended on our Top 10 series list for 100 straight days in the country, making it the longest for an Indian series to date."
The CEO of Yash Raj Films Akshaye Widhani added, "The Railway Men has become a landmark global success story, and it is an extremely proud moment for India & its content."
He added, "The true barometer of success of any content is when people who don't speak the language, watch it, engage with it, and endorse it. That is a rare phenomenon, and The Railway Men has done exactly this."
