Katrina Kaif reveals Salman Khan convinced her to do 'New York' film
Katrina Kaif opened up about how she ended up doing Kabir Khan's film New York
Katrina Kaif revealed that she wasn't sure about her role in Kabir Khan’s film, New York at first and she only agreed after Salman Khan convinced her.
As reported by Pinkvilla, during a recent interview, the 40-year-old actress disclosed that she originally had a small part in Bachna Ae Haseeno, but it got cut and this was a letdown for Katrina, who really wanted to work with Yash Raj Films.
Soon after this, the filmmaker Aditya Chopra called her for the film as the actress shared, "When I first heard the film, I thought he offered me kind of a small film which was more artsy and had no song and dance. I thought Kabir Khan was like a documentary filmmaker."
"After taking away a big commercial film like Bachna Ae Haseeno, he gave me this art film, New York. And I was not very happy about it. I was angsty in my heart,” Katrina added.
The Tiger 3 actress also unveiled that the 58-year-old actor had a major role in convincing her to do the movie.
She shared that Salman knew the director and thought it would be good, even though she wasn't excited at first, but the actress agreed after he encouraged her.
