'Heeramandi' star cast wishes birthday to 'magical' Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Heeramandi (The Diamond Bazaar) star cast, including Sonakshi Sinha and Aditi Rao Hydari, penned heartfelt birthday wishes for the critically acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Taking to Instagram, the leading ladies of the much-awaited Netflix series shared their unseen photos with the filmmaker from the period drama's set.

Sonakshi dropped a BTS picture from the Heeramandi set in which the actress was listening to the instructions given by Sanjay.

The Dabang actress wrote, "Chamakte aap ho, chamkaate humein ho… happy birthday to the Asli heera of Heeramandi, Sanjay sir (You shine and make me shine… to the real diamond of Heeramandi). Love and Respect always, From your AsliSona."

Aditi, who also stars in the forthcoming series based on the life of courtesans in Lahore, expressed her admiration for Bollywood's renowned director.

The actress wrote, "Happy birthday my dearestest Sanjay sir. Thank you for the unending inspiration, Thank you for your genius mind, your heart full of love ,, for never ever allowing us to give up!" 

She added, "Thank you for your fierce passion, for being the most amazing teacher, the endless beauty, the detail, the laughter, the music, the dancing , the yummiest ghar Ka nashta (home-cooked food) which is like an Akshay patram."

"And most most importantly thank you for your love , and the belief. Thank you for being you sanjay sir. May you always be surrounded by all that you love and all the people who love you. Love you sir," Aditi concluded. 

On the professional front, Sanjay made it to the headlines with the teaser and trailer of his highly anticipated masterpiece Heeramandi. 

The series stars Sonakshi, Aditi, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh in lead roles.
