Alia Bhatt expressed gratitude over the love she is receiving for her new Amazon web series Poacher, released on February 23, 2024.

Taking to her Instagram account on Saturday, the Darlings actress shared a post, featuring a picture of herself as she celebrated the success of her series topping the Indian charts.

In the picture, Alia could be seen standing beside a big screen, viewing all the episodes of the series Poacher, while holding and kissing her white furry cat Edward.

In the caption, the actress expressed feeling overwhelmed, noting, “& just within a day of its release, Poacher is #1 in India! So thrilled and excited for the love it’s receiving! To everyone who hasn't yet, watch now on @primevideoin.”

For the unversed, Alia served as an executive producer Poacher, while it is directed by Richie Mehta.

Alongside Alia, the series star-studded cast includes Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ankith Madhav, Kani Kusruti, Suraj Pops, Ranjita Menon, Vinod Sherawat, and Snoop Dinesh.

Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, the 30-year-old actress discussed her criteria for choosing roles in projects she produces.

Alia explained, "Do you fit the part, that's the most important question. I don't think I fit every part, you know, so sometimes and I'm working on a lot of stuff right now, which I'm not acting in."

"In fact, that I see other mainstream actresses in as well while we are creating them. I'm like, oh, this will be great for this one or actors," she added.

The Raazi star further said, "So, I am actually somebody who, something that very naturally happens, even when I am in a film, I don't look at it only from my character's point of view, so how is everybody sitting in this, so yeah, are you right for the part."
