Gisele Bündchen and Joaquim Valente connected very well as their friendship blossomed into romance.
The former Victoria’s Secret’s model, who was previously married to Tom Brady for 13 years, sparked romance rumours a month after she finalised her divorce in October 2022.
While Bündchen seemingly denied claims of her seeing anyone in cryptic social media posts and interviews, she has been dating Valente since June, a source told People Magazine.

“They’re taking it slow. They started out as great friends first. She's very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other,” the insider told the outlet.
Bündchen was first seen with the jiu-jitsu pro in Costa Rica in November 2022 alongside her two kids, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.
Another source told that the pair “started out as friends” as the jiu-jitsu instructor was a “huge comfort” for the Brazilian model going through divorce.
“Their friendship turned romantic after the divorce,” the second source said. “Joaquim is a great guy. He is down to earth, kind and inspiring. Gisele was hesitant about dating after the divorce. It's been very natural for her to date Joaquim.”

The mom of two also “loves” that Valente shares her Brazilian roots.
“They come from similar backgrounds. They both left Brazil very young. They have both created amazing lives for themselves in the U.S.,” the insider said.
“They both love Miami, but also enjoy traveling. They both enjoy healthy living. Gisele's in a great space. She is happy and very much enjoying life. Joaquim is perfect for her.”
