Everything to know about Melania Trump's sister Ines Knauss
Melania Trump spends a lot of time with her sister Ines Knauss but latter has not been part of much spotlight
Melania Trump kept some life aspects associated with her son Barron Trump and sister Ines Knauss private, even though she made the required appearances and didn't run from the cameras when she walked the red carpet and went to galas.
The siblings moved between countries and oceans while growing up in Slovenia, yet they managed to maintain a close family bond despite this. Melania spends a lot of time with her sister but Knauss has managed to remain mostly out of the spotlight. Nonetheless, there have been times when the sisters let the public know how much they loved one another, according to the List.
Former first lady Melania Trump was born Melanija Knavs in 1970 in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. Her elder sister, Ines Knavs, was born the same year. Raised by their parents, the sisters adopted the last name Knauss when they went out on their own.
Melania was approached by a photographer when she was seventeen years old, and he told her that she could become a model. In 1992, Melania won a national beauty competition, which catapulted her into a full-time modelling career.
Melania Trump and her sister Ines Knauss were both interested in fashion, but Melania took the bold step of dressing opulently in front of the camera, while Ines stayed well behind it, in the sewing room.
Melania's sister had a strong interest in design and studied industrial and fashion design in Slovenia. She also went to Helsinki, Finland, for a unique design workshop. Her social media accounts feature news on her fashion displays and her talent.
