Police in South Florida have revealed that a man shot and killed a Buffalo Bills fan following the Bills' victory over the Miami Dolphins in last week's final regular season game, ESPN reported.

A press statement from Miami Gardens police revealed that Dylan Brody Isaacs, 30, and his friends on Sunday were making their way back to their vehicle when they were involved in an altercation with the driver of another car, a few blocks from the Hard Rock Stadium.

Isaacs was shot and killed at the scene by the unnamed driver who used a revolver, according to the police.

The man fled in an earlier model Honda Accord that was later found in Palm Beach County the following day. In the course of the investigation, the car was seized.

Detectives have identified and interviewed a suspect, but that person's name wasn't immediately released. Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing.

"It was a senseless act," Isaacs' aunt, Cecelia Skye told NBC Miami. "They just didn't want [the driver] hurting anybody else. It was just a game. It's a sport that's supposed to be you know, it's competitive, but there's no room for violence."

Isaacs' family friend set up a GoFundMe page which had raised nearly $90,000 as of Wednesday to cover the costs of his funeral and for transporting his body to Six Nations, the largest First Nation reserve in Canada.

Isaacs lived in Hollywood, Florida, according to his Facebook page.

Following the killing of the Bills' fan, Dolphins star Tyreek Hill reacted to the news Tuesday as he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Football suppose to bring us together not divide us remember that part."

This is the second time this season that a fan has passed away following an American Football Conference (AFC) East game against Miami, Sportskeeda reported.

Towards the beginning of this season, 53-year Dale Mooney got into a scuffle when the New England Patriots were hosting the Dolphins at the Gillette Stadium in September, last year. The incident took place in the fourth quarter and he had to be taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead before midnight. The Pats fan reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest.
