Travis Kelce's childhood friend, private chef reveals his favourite meals
Travis Kelce eats three meals day, consumes over 4,000 calories on practice, game days
Travis Kelce, the 34-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs has been consuming food prepared by his childhood friend, Kumar Ferguson, since 2016.
"Growing up, I would cook for all the bros after we'd be hanging out all day. That kitchen table hangout has always been a center for all of us," Ferguson told Kansas City magazine in a recent interview. "We have definitely carried that tradition with us," reported People.
Ferguson, who is now a private chef, claimed that because of their long-standing friendship, their working connection has allowed them to keep lines of communication open.
"Being brothers is funny because we can throw shots at each other all day, but Travis is incredible when it comes to professionalism and just being on top of taking whatever he's investing into," said Ferguson when asked if the athlete ever critiques his meals.
During the football season, according to the chef, Kelce eats three meals a day and consumes over 4,000 calories on practice and game days. Kelce's favourite dishes are shrimp alfredo for supper and muesli with fresh fruit for breakfast. According to Ferguson, the NFL player enjoys steaks a lot.
Ferguson stated that he's often looking for ideas for meals and mentioned some of his favourite spots in Kansas City, Missouri, including Rye, PeachTree Cafeteria, Anton's Taproom, and The Upper Cut KC.
