Kim Ju Ae: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's successor revealed
Kim Ju Ae is second eldest child of Kim Jon Un
Kim Jong Un's "most likely" successor is his young daughter Kim Ju Ae, who has accompanied her father to military parades and missile testing, as per a statement by the South's spy service.
The National Intelligence Service has officially recognised Kim Ju Ae as Kim's heir for the first time, according to BBC.
In regards to Pyongyang's succession plan, the NIS stated that it was still taking "all possibilities" into consideration.
Since making her public debut in late 2022, Kim has maintained a prominent profile.
"Based on a comprehensive analysis of public activities and the level of respect for Kim Ju Ae since her initial public appearance, at present, she appears to be the most likely successor," said the NIS.
"But we are keeping our eyes open for all possibilities because Kim Jong Un is still young, has no major health problems, and there are many variables."
Kim, who is estimated to be around ten years old, is the second eldest child of the North Korean leader.
At a news conference last month, Kim Yung-ho, South Korea's minister of unification, offered a similar evaluation of Kim's daughter.
"The continuous emphasis on Kim Jong Un's daughter can be seen as evidence that North Korea is hastening to showcase succession intentions amid difficult internal circumstances," he said.
