Kareena Kapoor Khan expressed her displeasure towards actors who believe good looks secure their career in Bollywood long-term.

In conversation with Film Companion, the B-town diva said, "If you are great, talented, and people have liked you, connected with you, stardom will follow."

She continued, "It is not like, 'Oh he has got six-pack abs, he is looking so hot, he is a big star.' Arree please yaar! Sometimes, I feel like telling those actors, 'Please wear your T-shirt first. I can’t even look at you right now.'"

The Jab We Met star shared that she believes "if you are a good actor, you are going to survive a long time."

On the professional front, Kareena was last seen in Sujoy Ghosh's mystery thriller film Jaane Jaan alongside Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.

The 43-year-old will be next seen in Hansal Mehta's The Buckingham Murders in which she will be portraying an intense role of a detective.

Speaking of her recent approach towards script selection, the actress admitted that now her main focus is to perform distinct characters.

She said, "I love playing these characters (Rupa from Laal Singh Chaddha and Maya D'Souza from Jaane Jaan). Like I said, now it's no more about the stardom. I don't want to do stardom anymore. I want to do characters," Kareena shared.

She further said, "I've always wanted to be in front of the camera and be known as an actor. That has also been a top priority, always."
