Alia Bhatt details first audition for Student of the Year: 'I was in school'

Alia Bhatt, who is making headlines with her international projects, opened up about her first audition for debut movie, Student of the Year. 

The B-town diva recently attended the 2023 Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia where the actress revealed she made her acting debut when she was in high school. 

During an interactive session at the event, Alia shared, "I got called in to meet Karan Johar for Student of the Year while I was still in school."

Speaking of her interesting audition, the actress continued, "I was in the 11th grade, literally going from school, so I was in my uniform. I was much healthier and enjoyed eating French fries more at that time."

The Gangubai actress added she walked into the filmmaker's room and recalled Karan's words. "He said I was charming in person and asked me to do an audition."

The actress said at that time, she didn't know what an audition was, however, she performed in front of the director, noting "the rest is history."

Alia, who was last seen in KJo's blockbuster movie, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, marked her significant presence on several international platforms this year.

From making her debut in Hollywood with movie Heart of Stone to becoming the first Indian global brand ambassador for Gucci, the 30-year-old actress is currently at the peak of her blooming career.
