Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder and Lauren Sanchez had a sumptuous engagement celebration which was attended by a number of Hollywood celebrities in Beverly Hills, California.

Among the guests were Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, and Barbra Streisand.

According to a source in the magazine Page Six, the party was held at the residence of media magnate Barry Diller and designer Diane Von Furstenberg.

Jewel, who is a singer for the band Pieces of You, wrote and performed an original song named Legendary specifically for Jeff and Lauren.

Bezos offered a "heartfelt" and "incredible" speech at the celebration, dedicating it to his fiance, Lauren.

Attendees at the celebration included Hugh Jackman's ex-girlfriend Deborra-Lee Furness, Kris Jenner, Rita Wilson, Gayle King, Jessica Alba, designer Stacy Bendet, and Disney CEO Bob Iger.

The engagement party was attended by Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse, Miranda Kerr and Snap CEO Evan Spiegel, James Brolin, jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer, Hollywood scion Nicolas Berggruen, and Hollywood financier Vivi Nevo.

Bezos surprised Lauren with a proposal five months ago, and she has been gushing about it.

They are considering getting married. "I believe I blacked out when he opened the package. "I'm excited to become Mrs Bezos," Lauren said.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos just relocated to Florida after resigning as CEO in 2021.

Bezos said earlier this month that he is moving from Seattle to Miami in order to be nearer to his parents and his space tourism business.

“I’m planning to return to Miami, leaving the Pacific Northwest. I want to be close to my parents and (the operations of) Blue Origin are increasingly shifting to Cape Canaveral,” Bezos said.

“It’s an emotional decision for me. Seattle, you will always have a piece of my heart,” he further added, sharing an old video of him giving a tour of Amazon’s first office that he set up in his garage nearly three decades ago.
