PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Riaz Khan has said that Rescue 1122 personnel risk own lives to save the lives of others.
He expressed these views while addressing the work launching ceremony of a new building of Rescue 1122 in Pir Baba Gadzi area of Buner district, says a handout issued here. The new building is being constructed at a cost of Rs41.1 million. Director Planning Hassan Dad and other officers concerned, Xen C&W Tahir Jamil Khan TMO Amin Khan and elders of the area were also present on the occasion.
Riaz Khan inspected the ambulances, fire brigade vehicles and other facilities of Rescue 1122. On the occasion, the district emergency officer gave a detailed briefing to the special assistant regarding Rescue 1122.
Riaz Khan said that he was laying the foundation stone for the service for Pir Baba and other areas and would implement this plan on an emergency basis. He believed the government had ended discrimination between the rich and the poor and everyone was receiving the same facilities.
“Before the 2018 elections, Buner was mired in darkness and despair and we have eradicated that atmosphere of darkness and despair,” he said. Riaz Khan said that he had restored the confidence of people in all government departments and made them accountable to the people. He appreciated the services of the Rescue 1122 workers and said that their professional handling of the rescue matters helped save precious lives in remote areas of the province.
