KARAK: Two persons were killed and nine others sustained injuries in two separate road accidents, police sources said on Thursday.
They said that a speedy passenger van plunged into a ravine on the Karak-Bannu Road near Surdag. As a result, one passenger was killed while seven others sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to hospitals in Bannu and Latamber. Four of them were stated to be in a critical condition. The dead and injured belongs to Bannu district.
In another incident, one motorcyclist identified as Sabit Rehman was killed and two others identified as Zabihullah and Abidullah, residents of Kohat, suffered serious injuries when two motorcycles collided.
The locals transported the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital in Karak wherefrom one of them was shifted to a hospital in Kohat in a serious condition.
