Cops on duty at quarantine centres to get bonus

PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Sanaullah Abassi has said a summary would be sent to the chief minister for approval about one month additional salary as bonus for cops performing duty at the quarantine centres.

The IGP said this during a video link chat with all police officials who were deployed in quarantine centres in Dera Ismail.Khan, Hangu, Karak, Swat, Tank and Mardan districts. During the video link, the IGP personally reached out to some of the affectees in Hangu quarantine centre and inquired from them about the available facilities and problems, if any, at the centre. The IGP talked to the police officials deployed at these centres. He saw the position of each and every jawan at different points. The IGP was informed about the shift-wise duty and strength of the police at different quarantine centres.

He was told that police was performing duty in three shifts at these centres. The IGP expressed satisfaction at the duty being performed by the cops with national spirit in this hour of trial.

He especially directed the jawans to take special care of human rights as per National Disaster Management Authority rules and win the hearts and minds of the general public, particularly of the affectees by exhibiting excellent behaviour and politeness during duty.
