Woman, paramour held in murder case

NOWSHERA: The police arrested a woman and her paramour for allegedly killing her husband four months ago in Nowshera Kalan, police said on Sunday. Recording a confessional statement in the court of the civil judge-cum-judicial magistrate, Akbar Ali Mohmand, the accused, Ishrat Bibi, said that she had married Akram Khan 10 years ago and they had three children. She said that they had shifted from their village, Dobandi Jehangira, to Nowshera Kalan, where her husband started his business. The woman said that her husband used to take drugs and stay away from home overnight, adding, one Jibran became his friend who used to visit their home where they had developed illicit relations. She said she in connivance with her paramour killed her husband so that they could marry.

Earlier, Nazar Muhammad lodged the case with the police about his brother, Akram Khan, who had gone missing for the last four months. After launching the investigation, the police arrested the two and during interrogation, they confessed to have committed the murder.
