LAHORE: Institute for Art and Culture (IAC) launched its theatre society with an impressive performance of the humorous play ‘Rail-Away Station’ on Wednesday evening at IAC auditorium. Written and directed by theatre activist and Asst Prof Mobeen Ejaz, the play was a situational comedy and revealed the encounters faced by a girl passenger at a railway station.
The play highlighted the story of a girl who missed her train on the Dhansupura Railway Station. The next train was late and the girl had to spend the night at not-so-busy railway station.
IAC’s Vice Chancellor Professor Sajida Haider Vandal, Pro Vice Chancellor Pervaiz Vandal, Professor Zafar Iqbal and Professor Shahid Nadeem besides other faculty members and enthusiastic students attended the performance and encouraged the young team.
While sharing the details of the inaugural theatre performance, director Mobeen Ejaz briefed that student team have worked passionately for their first live performance.
