It was learnt that Sajjad Khan had removed Aurangzeb Khan and made Sher Afghan Khan, former MPA, the general secretary of PPP Mardan district. It infuriated Aurangzeb who quarreled with Sajjad Khan at the meeting.
Aurangzeb was seriously injured while two other party workers sustained minor injuries in the incident.
PPP divisional president Abdul Samad Khan, former provincial minister, and other senior leaders reached the Mardan Press Club to intervene and stop them from quarreling.
