KARAK: A sub-committee of the Senate standing committee on petroleum and natural resources has decided to refer the oil and gas theft case to National Accountability Bureau for a transparent probe.
It also approved establishment of burn centers in Karak, Hangu and Kohat.A meeting of the committee with its Chairman Senator Abdul Nabi Bangash was held on Monday at Secretariat Hall in Karak.
Senator Rozi Khan Kakar, deputy commissioners and district police officers of Karak, Kohat and Hangu and officials of the oil and gas companies attended the meeting. Members of the Khattak Loya Jirga, an organization of former elected representatives, including Fareed Tofan, Mian Nisar Gul Kakakhel, former MNAs Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz and Shamsur Rehman Khattak, advisor to Chief Minister on prisons Malik Qasim Khan Khattak, MPA Deena Naz, former district Nazim Sharif Khattak and district president of Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana TasleemIqbal also attended the meeting.
