PESHAWAR: A former provincial president of the Paramedical Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sirajuddin Burki, said on Sunday his son had not been appointed dental technician illegally.

In a statement, Sirajuddin Burki said like other people, his son also applied for the dental technician post after the government advertised these positions on May 21.

He said it is a set rule when qualified people are not available for the position in same district, candidates from other districts are appointed on merit. Sirajuddin Burki said he had not sought any favour from any government official or public representative in appointment of his son and demanded a high level inquiry to ascertain the real facts.
