Jennifer Lopez gives heartfelt update after becoming an empty nester

Jennifer Lopez is getting emotional as she remembers her twins who moved out for college a couple of months ago.

The 57-year-old multiphenate recently took to her Instagram Stories and reposted a video of herself from her beauty line's social media page, in which she appeared makeup-free to share her skincare routine.

In the midst of the video, she dished on how she finds it hard to adjust to a new routine as a newly minted empty nester.

It is pertinent to mention that Lopez welcomed her 18-year-old twins, Max and Oskar Muñiz, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

The doting mom began, “I’m sitting here, being an empty nester and crying and thinking about them, and looking at baby pictures of them, and all that stuff."

However, Lopez also noted she is “so excited for them to step into this new era.”

Lopez admitted that she needed a routine to keep herself busy without her kids.

“Those routines are the things that are going to keep me kind of sane," the mom-of-two confessed, adding, "Working out, doing my skincare routine, caring for myself, with the newfound kind of space that’s in your life.”

Max and Oskar graduated from high school earlier this year and after that Lopez took them on a road trip to Italy.

Oskar is currently studying theater and studio arts at Sarah Lawrence College, while Max's college major has not been revealed yet.
