Carrot Top initiates contact with family after suicide attempt

Carrot Top is making progress in his recovery after attempting suicide.

According to TMZ, a source has reported to the outlet that the comedian is reaching out to his loved ones as he begins communicating and talking with his family.

The insider also told the outlet previously that Carrot Top had been released from the hospital and has returned home.

They added that the stand-up artist was "doing well" and feeling better.

It was also TMZ who was the first to report Carrot Top’s suicide attempt.

A police report previously obtained by the outlet said cops responding to the call found Carrot unconscious by his backyard pool.

Before they arrived, the comedian's 911 caller, a woman who went to Carrot's home to check in on him, discovered him awake but said he kept passing out.

She had told dispatch a terrifying detail, that Carrot was turning blue.

The comedian, born Scott Thompson, was rushed to the hospital on Friday after an apparent suicide attempt hours before a scheduled show in Las Vegas.

Carrot Top was allegedly asked to pay $500,000 by singer Brian Evans or else his sexually explicit recording would get leaked, according to claims made by the comedian’s lawyer.

For those unaware, Carrot Top was accused of sexual exploitation by Brian Evans in a lawsuit filed in July 2026.
