Prince William appears 'determined' to maintain his distance from estranged brother Harry as other royals approached the Duke on his big day.

Royal expert Rob Shuter has claimed that King Charles reached out because Harry is still his son, and the monarch wasn’t going to let a birthday pass without acknowledging that.

“Other relatives felt the same. Nobody wanted to turn Harry’s birthday into another royal battlefield.”

However, Prince William and Kate Middleton deliberately stayed away.

Citing the royal insiders, Rob Shuter has claimed that William and Kate did not wish Harry as the Duke celebrated his first birthday in Britain after moving back with his family.

“Harry heard from more royals than people would expect, including his father,” the royal source tells Naughty But Nice.

However, from brother William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, there was nothing. “No call, no text, no private message. Not a word.”

He further said the silence matters because insiders say a birthday offered William the easiest possible opportunity to reopen communication — no summit, no apology and no need to address the bitter issues that have divided the brothers.

Another royal source said, “This was not an oversight,” adding “William knew exactly what day it was. He made a decision not to contact Harry, and Catherine didn’t reach out separately. That silence was deliberate.”
