King Charles told Charles Spencer ‘he is lucky father passed away’ at young age

King Charles seemingly made rude comments on Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer.

His Majesty seemingly told Charles that he was lucky to inherit at such a young age days after his father, the eighth Earl of

Spencer died in 1992.

Charles Spencer told US TV network CBS: “It was a very peculiar conversation, actually, because my father had died very suddenly a few days before.

“And I just was so surprised, because Prince Charles, as he was then, said to me, ‘You’re so lucky.’ And I said, ‘I’m so sorry, sir.’ And he said, ‘You are so lucky to have inherited so young’.”

However, a friend of King Charles’ tells The Sunday Times: “He is saddened that the sorrows of old are being dragged up again.

“The King was more concerned about the future of mankind than the unkind claims of one man picking at the scars of the past,” he noted.
