Why did Charles Spencer speak against King Charles 29 years after Diana’s death? Truth drops

The timing of Charles Spencer’s book about Princes Diana has become a hot topic ever since it sparked a reaction from the Palace.

For those unversed with all that, this ‘reaction’ is a public statement that calls out Earl Spencer’s claims that he was told “rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough” – by none other than King Charles himself.

The monarch however denied it very publicly in the following words; “while we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise, even many years after such a loss.”

Now as for the real reason it came out 29 years after her death anniversary, that information has been brought forward by celebrity news reporter Rob Shuter, via his Substack Naughty But Nice. He believes the reason Earl Spencer came out with his version of events is because of Prince Harry.

He defends his belief by saying, “For decades, the unwritten rule surrounding the Royal Family was simple: insiders stayed silent. Then Harry published Spare — and proved that even Diana’s own son was willing to put private conversations, family feuds and palace secrets into print.”

Even a source said, “Harry didn’t bend the rules — he destroyed them. Once Diana’s son could publish intimate details about the most powerful members of the family, it became much harder to argue that everyone else was obligated to remain silent.”

Moreover, there’s also the fact that Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship isn’t on good terms and thus the source claims, “there’s a vacuum around Diana now.”

“Her sons are divided and Spencer understands that gives him an authority he didn’t have before,” they also noted.

Before actually signing off he also said, “he isn’t simply Diana’s brother anymore — he can become a custodian of her history.”
