Selena Gomez embraces aging: 'I don’t feel like it’s a bad thing'

Selena Gomez is proudly embracing ageing.

In a new interview with People magazine, the 34-year-old singer and actress insisted that she’s “not scared at all” about getting older.

“I don’t feel like it’s a bad thing," said Selena. "Getting older has been so fun."

“I’m not scared at all," she continued. "I love getting older. Things are going to change and things are going to sag, but you’re alive."

"I think age is just a number in many ways," added the Calm Down hitmaker, who began her career in the entertainment industry when she was just 10 years old.

During the interview, Selena also opened up about her relationship with husband Benny Blanco.

When asked if there was anything about Benny's way of life that she had adopted, the Only Murders In The Building star replied, "Yeah, stop overthinking and be a little bit more confident."

“That’s something he doesn’t pressure me to be. He just inspires me to be that," she added.

For those unversed, Selena and Benny tied the knot on September 27, 2025, in California.

The music producer recently appeared on the Today show, where he spilled the secret behind his successful relationship with the songstress.

“I didn’t use, like, black magic or anything,” he said. “I just was nice.”
