Stephen Colbert's is making his feelings about CBS very clear
Stephen Colbert seemingly took a dig at CBS as he made a brief return to the late night show.
The 62-year-old host made a special appearance at Jimmy Kimmel Live! show on Tuesday night just one day after the final season of The Late Show snagged the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Series, marking its seventh and final Emmy award this year.
During the conversation, Jimmy asked Stephen if he got any response from CBS after winning for a show they recently canceled.
“Did anyone from CBS call to congratulate you on your seven Emmys?” Jimmy inquired.
In a blink, Stephen replied, “I am not familiar with that organization.”
For those unaware, Stephen bid farewell to his The Late Show on CBS in May 2026 after completing 11 seasons.
Elsewhere during the conversation, Jimmy also asked Stephen about his comeback to late night television.
"Late night TV. I remember it well. Many fond memories of this," Stephen responded when he took over the stage.
When Jimmy asked "Do you ever think about it?" Stephen bluntly replied, "Nope!"
The three-time Emmy winner went on to say that he does not "think about the news every day."
