Dutch king and royal family appears on the balcony of the palace as part of tradition
King Willem-Alexander on Tuesday delivered the “Speech from the Throne” in The Hague, according to the Dutch Royal Family.
Queen Máxima, the Princess of Orange, Princess Alexia, Princess Ariane, Prince Constantijn, and Princess Laurentien were also present on the occasion .
The Royal party arrived with the Royal procession from Noordeinde Palace.
After the “Speech from the Throne”, the party departed for Noordeinde Palace and later appeared on the balcony as part of the tradition.
According to the royal family, the king delivers the speech during a Joint Session of the States General .
“The Speech from the Throne” outlines the government's most important plans for the coming year.
Afterwards, the Dutch minister of finance presented the Budget Memorandum and the 2027 National Budget in the plenary hall of the House of Representatives.
