Kanye West 'ordered' Donda staff to remove Martin Luther King Jr. books

Kanye West is no stranger to lawsuits, given his alleged controversial past.

But the latest one is for a whopping $23 million and is from a former worker at Donda Academy.

According to the Daily Mail, his name is Benjamin Provo.

He levelled several allegations against the rapper, among them allegedly ordering the Donda staff to remove books belonging to key Black figures, including Martin Luther King Jr.

The plaintiff told the court, "Ye mid-2023 directed that anyone associated with Donda dispose of books related to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and other prominent figures in the Black community."

Not stopping there, Provo alleged that West's company, Donda, had no 'HR department'.

"Donda had no Human Resources department or policies intended to protect employees," he claimed.

Per his filing, "The organization maintained no policies regarding discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, nor did they provide any training on these subjects."

In addition, Provo claimed West told him to get rid of his dreadlocks, which he refused, citing their connection to his race and religion.

On the other hand, the rapper denied all the allegations, as the trial is set for a hearing on October 12.
