Prince Harry, Meghan Markle release joint emotional statement: 'We lost more than we could have imagined'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have released an emotional joint statement to honour first responders on 9/11.

The royal couple, who have moved to Britain after years in US, released the statement on their official website.

They shared the message with caption, “Honoring First Responders on 9/11.”

Meghan and Harry said, “Twenty-five years ago, on September 11th, we lost more than we could have imagined — but we also witnessed the very best of humanity: ordinary people running toward danger to help others.

“Today, Archewell Philanthropies honors the firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, medical professionals, service members, and countless first responders whose courage on that day—and in the years that followed —continues to move us.”

The royal couple’s statement further reads, for a quarter of a century, first responders and their families have carried what that day cost them—physically and emotionally —while continuing to show up for their communities with extraordinary dedication.

Archewell Philanthropies is grateful for their sacrifice, their resilience, and the example they continue to set, they added.

“Today, we remember. And we honor everyone who serves, protects, and cares for others when it matters most.”

Meghan and Harry have returned to Britain with their children Archie and Lilibet recently.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Harry was seen visiting the Soho Farmhouse, a private members club located in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

Harry used the gym on the premises, before enjoying brunch with his wife Meghan.
