Balmoral Castle shares major update as Meghan Markle plans to leave Britain: 'We look forward to welcoming you back'

King Charles Balmoral Castle has shared major update hours after claims Meghan Markle is planning to return to California for a week.

A royal expert has claimed that Meghan Markle is set to return to California without her family-- husband Prince Harry and their kids Archie and Lilibet.

Royal expert Alison Boshoff has also claimed that the Duchess is heading back to California for just a week after returning to Britain on August 26.

She tells the News Nation: "She is going back by the way, here at half term and in the holidays. Half term is five weeks... so she is just dipping in and dipping out again."

"In five weeks, she'll be back in Montecito for a week. Then she'll come back, do another five weeks, another five weeks in her Cotswolds prison, and then back to Montecito for Christmas."

Amid these claims, the Balmoral Castle shared a photo of the house on its official social media handle and said, “While Balmoral Castle’s grounds, gardens, exhibitions and Restaurant will reopen to the public for our Autumn Opening from Tuesday 29th September, you don’t have to wait until then to pay us a visit.

“Throughout September, our Main Gate Gift Shop and Terrace Café remain open daily from 10am until 4pm.”

It further said browse a carefully curated collection of Balmoral gifts and keepsakes, find something special to take home, then enjoy a bite to eat or something sweet at the gates of Balmoral.

“Whether you’re spending the day exploring Royal Deeside or simply looking for a welcome stop on your travels, we’d be delighted to see you this September,” the statement adds.

The residence went on saying and from 29th September, “we look forward to welcoming you back” inside the grounds for our 2026 Autumn Opening.
