Meghan Markle, Prince Harry drop Archie, Lilibet royal titles for major reason

A royal expert has claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry want their children at school in Britain just as ‘Archie and Lilibet Sussex.’

In his latest piece for Naughty But Nice substack, royal expert Rob Shuter has claimed that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will keep royal titles in Britain — but at school they will just be ‘Archie and Lilibet Sussex’.

The royal sources have told the expert, Meghan and Harry’s children will simply be known as Archie Sussex and Lilibet Sussex at school, following a royal tradition their father Prince Harry experienced growing up.

The insiders explained, “Harry and Meghan are absolutely not giving up their children’s titles.

“They are Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and that isn’t changing. But school is school. They don’t want teachers calling out ‘Prince Archie’ across the playground or classmates treating them differently.”

Archie and Lilibet became entitled to Prince and Princess titles when their grandfather Charles became King in 2022.

The Palace later updated its website to identify them as Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have started school in the UK after returning to Britain with their parents last month.

The source close to Harry and Meghan tells PEOPLE that settling their children “has been, and remains, their focus.”
