Ariana Grande also swapped heels for platforms to perform at her recent concert
Ariana Grande has announced she is "on the mend" with a minor injury ahead of her final shows in London.
However, she is still "on with the show," with the last two concerts of her Eternal Sunshine tour at London's O2 Arena to go as planned—with the exception of her footwear.
In a message shared on Instagram ahead of one of her final shows, Grande has explained that she had to wear more comfortable shoes instead of her usual high heels due to a deep cut she is recovering from.
“My sweet petals. I wanted to let you know I will need to be in cozy footwear for this evening’s show (and possibly tomorrow’s) as I am bandaged up underneath, recovering from a minor injury."
Grande told fans not to worry, explaining that “it is not a sprain or anything muscular but just a deep cut” that required bandaging.
She added thar fans might notice her walking a little differently or wearing flat shoes during the show because of this.
“So when you see me tonight without my signature heels, or even possibly having a little trouble putting weight on that foot, that is why! But please do not fret. On with the show and I am on the mend!"
Concluding her post, she also joked that she'll be a bit shorter than usual without her heels.
“I cannot wait to perform for you tonight and tomorrow (even if I am a few inches shorter than usual)… I love you always. Two more…”
Glimpses from her recent shows showed her performing in flat platform boots instead of her typical footwear.
Grande's tour began earlier this summer and included more than 30 shows across North America before moving to London for a series of final performances.
After the tour wraps up, Grande plans to take a break from public life following a period of intense media attention.
She has also stepped away from an upcoming stage production she was originally set to appear in, and her role will be recast.
