Vin Diesel takes fans by surprise with a rendition of her 1974 classic ‘I Will Always Love You’
Vin Diesel turned to Dolly Parton’s own song to pay her tribute, giving fans an unexpected rendition of I Will Always Love You.
One day after Parton’s death was announced, the Fast & Furious star, 59, shared a black-and-white portrait of the singer on Instagram along with an audio recording of himself singing the 1974 classic.
Diesel appeared emotional throughout the performance, particularly as he sang the song’s farewell lyrics, “So, goodbye / Please, don’t cry.”
He dropped a prayer hands emoji in the caption.
Parton’s death was announced by her nephew, Bryan Seaver, on August 25. She was 80.
Representatives for the singer later confirmed that she had died after a “brief battle with cancer.” Her family did not disclose the type of cancer.
