James Talarico says he loves transgender children
Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico is encountering pushback over comments he made about transgender children during a podcast appearance.
During an appearance on A Superbloom Podcast, James Talarico commended transgender-identifying youth who protested at the Texas Capitol against healthcare boundaries for minors, calling their presence an inspiration.
The video has sparked online debate among viewers and supporters on social platforms. The clip spread widely with some users labeling the kids as confused and manipulated and probing Talarico’s sincerity while others defended him.
The video circulating online has drawn divided views from users with one writing, “Every reasonable person understands there is no such thing as Trans children! Only abusive parents.”
Second lamented, “Talarico is probably a pedophile given his obsession with "trans" children. He's a creepy guy who brings up the subject whenever he can. I think the FBI may want to have a look at his laptop one of these days.”
Third added, “Talarico looks like the Sunday school preacher that diddles little kids and then pulls out his bible.”
According to The Hill, Texas Rep.Beth Van Duyn argued on Sunday that despite Talarico’s crazy views, those views are not going to catch enough voters in the state to become the first Democrat to win a Senate election in Texas. In addition, Decision Desk HQ gives Talarico a 49 percent chance of defeating the GOP nominee, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
